Pros

The integration of invoicing and inventory management is the best of the software we have used, and the customization of document templates allows us to provide our clients with professional documents with exactly the right amount of information.

Cons

There are some features that need work on kit and case building but with that said the rentman team are continually listening to the end user and implementing requests.

Pros

Great product for a small business or for a single user.

Cons

On the new version (4G), you cannot manage data privacy per user. It means that all users have access to all data, offers, invoices, conditions even prices.
Dear colleagues, don’t you never get angry with a Freelancer, you may have surprises.

Notice that this problem is not a priority for them because we would be 15 users out of 1700 to talk about it

Reporting is not working well, it would be nice to have a better way to track equipment by the factor it was hired.

It has been made with the Event Production Industry in mind. It speaks our language, the people who work there understand everything we are trying to do, and they go above and beyond for Rentman to be like a third limb!!

Their support is second to none. We have taken up the premium support service, and wow!!!!! They are more responsive than people sitting next to us in the office here. They get back to every email / ticket / suggestion / question as soon as they are online, and with such context and awareness of us (Their team knows us so well and we know them, because they are so personable and consistent). We are in Australia, yet that time difference does not affect their performance at all, generally because everything works and our tickets are about making a slight improvement to something that already works really well, that's saying something!?!

Pros

It has revolutionised our systems!! We consolidated so many systems into Rentman; warehouse / inventory, quoting & invoicing, rostering & scheduling, timesheets, task management, CRM (the critical parts in Rentman, yet we moved from Salesforce to HubSpot for our marketing elements).

Cons

There are a few aspects in the last 8 months that are not exactly what we'd like, but we've either shifted our expectations or Rentman have made developments to sort it out! Not being able to share a Project across multiple Account Owners has been a little bit tricky but we've refocussed our needs there. The 'contact person' does not have much information associated with them, but I'm picking holes at a pretty incredible system.

The program is incredibly vast and versatile, addressing every aspect of our company's needs. It's as though they've anticipated even the things we hadn't considered, making it an indispensable tool for our operations.

and a venue can have multipool room in the one venue they are separate enter with double ups of contact ie an Arts centre has a couple of production coordinator and 5 different space (theatres) and they all have to be separate enterys

After working with lots of other warehouse management systems, I find Rentman standing beyond other similar products. So user friendly and fast and easy way to create a project

Cons

I would like to see Rentman add some kind of time clock system for when my staff is not out on projects so I would be running all through one system.

We used to use Google Calendar to schedule our equipment and send invites to our employees. Used Quickbooks online to invoice and send estimates. This all can be done with Rentman.

Pros

Love that Rentman has Crew and equipment Scheduling built in the same app. Like that they have tech support that is built right into the application. When I first started using Rentman, I needed a lot of help. They were there for me. They are also updating Rentman constantly with new features and they are listening to their customers.

Cons

I wish the crew scheduling feature had the ability to send my employees an alert when a project gets canceled. I have asked on their suggestion page where you can leave suggestions and "want list".

Pros

For us "Rentman" is the Swiss-Knife of Event Software. It allows us to plan and schedule Material, Personal, Logistics and to create offers, invoices and reminders on one online Plattform. We can use "Rentman" from every Point of the world and any System because it´s a browser based online tool. We use it since two years and it´s running completely stabil and secure. It´s easy to use and you can give difeerent roles to every employee depending on his role in your Company. From our Point of view "Rentman" is the most powerful and flexible Software for Event-Companies which is available in the Moment. We tried also Easy-Job before but it´s too expensive, too complicated and also too unflexible because there´s no Cloud-Online-Solution. One of the main profits of Rentman is the Support they give to you along the whole time. We got an complete "StartUp-Workshop" via Online teaching for our complete Team, so afterwords everyone knew the main functions and advantages of rentman. If there should be a Problem you can call them anytime and they will fix it professionell and fast.

Cons

The Rentman App is nice to have but it´s not really complete funktional at the Moment, it should have more of the Features which is included in Rentman-Online.

Especially the online availability is extremely attractive. This facilitates much. It is always up-to-date and can be viewed from anywhere and possibly changed. The staff are always well informed about material and personnel. The program does what it is supposed to do well, quickly and clearly. There are hardly any wishes about it without which it is too crowded. Around a successful software which is always developing.

Pros

The clarity and clear procedures. Also the quick overview and online availability. The planning of material personnel and vehicle fleet becomes child's play. The organization of the material is simple and clear, as is the overall appearance of the software. Everything runs very reliably. Also the hiring of material is easy to do. The workshop module is clear and practical. This program is packed with knowledge and passion. The support is very fast and effective.

Cons

Little things in the mobile app. For example, you can not simply create a project quickly, with name and date and info. You can work out later in the office. That would be very helpful if you get orders on the way. Otherwise completely satisfied.

Overall, I definitely recommend the software to small and medium sized businesses who would like to rent and sell event equipment! Rentman.io is very helpful to digitize our business and lean processes.

Pros

The customer support is exceptional! The different modules are very intuitive to learn. The standardized data base fields can be complemented with additional customized fields. The statistic section helps us to track our projects and improve reporting to the management.

Cons

In the material data base you currently have to decide, if an exhibit is for rental or for sale. If you want to rent and sell a product you need to create two items.

All the materials have to be stored in the same warehouse.

-software is easy to learn and teach others
-searching for data is instant
-facility to add tags, filters and tasks throughout makes it customisable for all users
-easy to customise system templates
-project templates easy to set-up and speed up creating new projects for account managers
-customers digitally sign their quotations and confirm the projects
-crew planner module has planned 60+ full time and freelance technical staff without a hitch
-communication flow right through the project for all involved to view
-full time staff have project information to hand on their smartphone through the app
-equipment failures are scanned on-site direct into the repairs module by the technicians
-software is constantly evolving along with industry feedback

Cons

-mobile scanning not yet available, this will be helpful rolling over scanned equipment on-site, from one project to another

Changing some of the presentations and designs. Setting the dates sometimes does not work perfect. The order of the Invoices when we want to update the payments or searching by our own quotation number does not work.

I have really enjoyed getting to know Rentman better and using more of its features. it has streamlined our company and easy to know what and where everything and everyone is. It's been great!

Pros

I like that the day to day running of the company can be completed solely through Rentman. I don't need added Calanders or planners to manage the equipment, crew and vehicles

Cons

The app can be quite limiting when on the road. I would like to be able to book a simple reminder or enter a basic job so when on the road I don't forget when returning to work to complete a full job entry. Probably a me issue but could be useful.

We liked that u were a web-based product and can log in anywhere. Hiretrack was a server-based product. they also didn't have any phone app that can be used for staff and to log gear in and out.
