Employee Scheduling and Time management made easy

Pros

I have used Homebase for employee scheduling and time tracking for 2 years. It has made the job of keeping track of employee availability, leave of absence, and labor so much easier. So I spend more time on the development of other areas of my work.

Cons

Honestly, all the features that I would want are supported by Homebase on different product packages.

It's very easy to use/learn and very new users friendly.

Cons

more addon would be uselful to be able to use homebase to his maximum potention, example adding notes to employees to have easy access to their preference in schedule.

Pros

If you had a large company it might be useful to you but unless you use all the features it is a waste of money.

Cons

It is very expensive. The support is terrible and takes a week to do anything. If you sign up and want to cancel 2 months later you still have to pay for the entire year. it is a scan to make money

Pros

Scheduling- it’s easy to request time off, pick up shifts, drop or trade shifts.
I love how your able to view your schedule as well as see which team members you will be working with on certain shifts.

Overall, it has been a wonderful project for scheduling. Our team loves that they get the email updates and know when a schedule has been published. We also use the in-app communication platform a lot for people to swap shifts, which is really helpful.

Pros

An easy system to keep everyone up to date on schedules, changes to scheduling and availability.

Cons

It could be tricky sometimes to set roving or static availabilities, without then having to change the entire schedule but it did seem to improve mostly after speaking to customer service!

Homebase has been a great scheduling app and is compatible from my iphone for on deman scheduling. Working full time along with a few part time jobs, seamless scheduling is important and Homebase is perfect for my needs.

Pros

One of the features I like most about Homebase is the ease of scheduling feature. I can pick up shifts, swapping shifts, and track myhours. As a part time worker who also works full time at another company, seamless scheduling is a critical feature.

Cons

Because my part time company requires sign in and sign out sheets, the time clock feature isn't a feature I use but it pops up everytime. It is likely a feature I do not know how to change settings for.

I have been using Homebase for a year or two. I tried cutting expenses and using Jobber but it was much more work. I use Homebase to let the employees know when they are expected in and when they should clock out by. Because we are on the road it is only estimated. Homebase lets me put in a shift/run and Jobber gives them the program ordered. It’s like Homebase is an outline and Jobber is the report.

Pros

1. Easy to use. 2. Calculates estimated hours. 3. Easy to move things around.
4. Posts easy. 5. Time clock. 6. Time sheets. 7. Record keeping

Cons

New Update with light markings and no lines. Makes me feel like I’m blind feeling my way around hoping to find the right button. Dark mode might make it better but I like to make it bolder.

Reasons for Switching to Homebase

Jobber has a schedule issue. It has many hoops to go through to get a “run” or shift together. It does a good job with the customer end but not the employee end. I need to tell the employee when to come into work to prepare for the “job”. I can’t leave that up to the employee. If I screw up then it’s on me but I’d rather not leave that up to the employee to screw up.

Great Payroll Software

Pros

Homebase is very user-freindly and allows you to make corrections or changes easily. The cost is reasonable compared to other payroll software and Homebase pays and files your payroll forms and taxes so it saves you time! It's cloud based so you can be anywhere and do payroll or check employees hours, scheduling, etc. Homebase staff was very helpful when I was setting up.

Cons

I have been using Homebase for one month and there are no cons as of yet.

I love homebase! I can keep track of my schedule, hours,paycheck and all kinds of other things through the app! It's perfect!

Cons

The only thing I don't really like is the cash out feature. It uses plaid to link banks and cards but all of the cards I use are not supported.

Homebase is literally an addiction. All of the tasks that need to be done with this product are agonizing for any manager. But this product makes it not only easy, but enjoyable! I actually love performing all the tasks on Homebase because it is so practical, straightforward and simple. I am on the app multiple times a day just reminding myself of who is working when. I would be lost without this product and in terrible shape. Thank you for 3 years of making my life easy!

Pros

Ease of use. It is so convenient to have everything you need inside the app. The schedule building is so simple and practical. Everyone can see it and request changes. I love that the manager features can be accessed inside the app. Almost everything can be accessed without a computer.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike. The only thing I ask is that you please do not change or complicate the setup because it is so practical and easy to find everything. Please do not complicate it. It's just right the way it is!

Overall we love homebase. We started out using it as a test with just 1 location now we use it for 9 different businesses. Some of them have office staff, some remote/traveling staff that use GPS on app clock in/clock out and some have staff that clock in when they get to work using on location computers. It couldn't be quicker to set up and get started and the fact that you have a forever schedule history is an awesome feature. Plus depending on the features you need - you can try it out for free (as in free free - their starting price point is zero)

Pros

Simple interface, quick timesheet edits and complete edit/history tracking for all changes made to anything in their system.

Cons

The applicant tracking and job posting system is terrible. No app integration, mixed up listings if you have multiple businesses with different names, only one landing page listing jobs for all your locations combined...the list goes on. Skip this unless you are only one location or all of your businesses share the same brand/name.

I love this app. It makes my job ten times easier and accurate. I love that I can keep the facts available at my fingertips because it direct has an impact on future schedules and events.

Pros

I like the complete organization of the app and it's ease of use. It is very user friendly, and the features fit exactly what I look for as far as scheduling, tracking hours, abcenses, and availability.

Cons

There is nothing I do not like. I would like to see more ability to create events and add important notes to the schedule such as when orders are due, cleaning is needed, etc.

The only issue I have is repeated to being a free user with paid access I would have zero complaints. Staff do say there are times when clocking in gets a little difficult. Creates some clean up at payroll time
