Great tool for CFD and FEA with accurate and correlating results with the experimental analysis. I used this tool when I was an undergraduate for fluid flow studies and thermal analysis and now at my work place I am using it for air flow modeling in Mechanical Ventilation.
Pros
ANSYS Fluent gives very accurate and reliable simulation results in Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) analysis. It has an excellent graphical user interface (GUI) where you can easily select the type of CAE analysis and other parameters for most of the simulations while using user defined functions (UDF) to handle complex and customized simulations. Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) analysis is another great feature in this software which enables the multiphysics study of fluids and structure interaction.
Cons
ANSYS requires heavy computational power to give accurate results for complex analysis. Creating complex models in DesignModeler is harder compared to other modeling tools.

Im very pleased to use this program because my cad model operations are upon simplfying geometries. Spaceclaim make my job easy
Pros
Geometry modifications are very easy, you can simplfy your cad in a short time. There is no product tree, so you just click delete or "f" to delete fillet etc.. Creating cad models is very easy, you just sketch something and just pull it or modify cad with some tools.
Cons
Sometimes you need product tree for some reason. Spaceclaim have not product tree, but you can apply different methods to do what you want to do with tree.

An effective, friendly and reliable mechanical component simulation tool.

During my mechanical engineering studies, the subjects I most enjoyed were "computer-aided design" and "Finite Element Method". For this reason my thesis was oriented in the line of mechanical design, "design of a pin-on-disk friction machine", you can apply load states on pieces of interest, determine their stresses, deformations, safety factor, fatigue, buckling between others. In the same way, repeat the process until achieving the convergence of results, redefining the meshes on a particular element. It is simply incredible.
Pros
In addition to all the different types of analysis available to apply in the pieces, you have a really friendly interface. Your pieces can be made in the Ansys DesignModeler program or be imported from other 3D CAD tools. In addition, you have refining tools for meshing to focus on areas of interest, either by its state of charge or its particular shape.
Cons
If the size of the element chosen in the meshes is very small, the simulation can take an excessive time. The issue would be related to the processing capacity of the computer.
It is required to have knowledge of the finite element methodology, to conceptually understand what you are applying in the program.

I have used ANSYS and its geometry optimization tool. I have been involved in developing software packages which uses ANSYS as the solver.
Pros
I liked the feature that ANSYS has added to the Workbench for geometry optimization.
Cons
I belive the modeling part of ANSYS can be improved to be more user friendly, so that it would be much easier to use the powerfull tools that ANSYS provides.

For simulation and analysis this is the best CAD software one can go for. The Latest version is an add-on with more useful feature to ANYSYS spaceclaim enables the user to get the job done.
Pros
The user can constraint the sketches with spaceclaim design options. New block recording feature allow the user to easily edit the CAD models which are imported from other CAD platform. Analysis is best in this software with detailed stress definition. Simulation of operation is also done.
Cons
Use interface need to improved. Customer support needed with more multi domain representative. Software is bulk for lower configured workstations.

Pros
Ansys WB is quite complex tool with multiple modules. You can make any of the engineering calculations (simulations) here. It works with finite element method. It has too many modules as I only know solid and fluid modules I use them on my both academical studies and design business.
Cons
It is really complex, deep as ocean! Especially if you are working on the remote areas of engineering, it could be a night mare. Customer support knows basics that is OK however they can not always support you on your deep and complex problems. Also on Fluent module is not really capable for "mass transfer".

Overall it's great software. Once you get your hands on it, you get your problems solved in no time. I'm currently using this software for my BE project in mechanical engineering.
Pros
I loved Meshing tool and graphics shown in modelling. Software has different analysis options like structural, vibration, thermal, fluid analysis and many more. I have used this software for structural and thermal analysis mainly. Great use in Finite Element Analysis. It saves time of experimentation.
Cons
The hard part is to learn all about this software and its features. It's not easy to use and it's bit of expensive software.

Ansys SpaceClaim Overview
Reviewed on 09/06/2023
Pros
In my opinion, Ansys SpaceClaim is a user-friendly 3D modeling software with a straightforward interface, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced engineers. It offers powerful geometry editing tools that simplify the creation, modification, and repair of complex 3D models. While it may have a learning curve for advanced features and limited advanced meshing capabilities, its seamless integration with other Ansys simulation software enhances efficiency in the design and simulation workflow.
Cons
Cons in this software include a learning curve for advanced features, requiring additional training or experience, and limited meshing capabilities compared to dedicated software. However, these limitations may not affect all users and can be outweighed by the software's strengths in geometry editing and integration with other Ansys simulation tools.

Mind blowing, superb, Over the expectations and knowledgeable
Pros
I love to describe this software because I have used it a lot in my masters studies. In my subject CFD I.e. computational fluid dynamics I have used this software to define a structure and also analyze the flow through it. Space Spaceclaim is very much user Friendly and easy to understood. I took only a week or so to have a good command over Spaceclaim. The different geometries can be easily define and can be specified with given boundary conditions in spaceclaim. The analysis and result section of ansys is the most interesting part as the actual fluid data were analyzed as per the Spaceclaim model. I have created a gear pump in Spaceclaim and also analyze it in detail with a working animation. This all can be possible via ansys. ANSYS can be defined as an Bunch of technologies and predefined technological softwares. For students like me 1 year of free ansys is available on the ansys official website. Every type of simulations were possible with ansys.
Cons
It requires a lot of computation and the time of computation is pretty long as in my case of Analysis of a gear pump, I have to wait for some 15 minutes when there is an initialization of the structure. I know that complex parts are time consuming due to the meshing which is pretty dense. But a faster database is an requirement for the ansys users.

You can also create your own models and run it. Very easy to mesh complex geometry of designs. Compatible with other modeling tools such as Hypermesh.
Cons

Ansys SpaceClaim is a nice CAD tool and is continuously updated and improved. I recommend it specially if you are using other Ansys applications.
Pros
Ansys SpaceClaim is quite a good tool for generating CAD files. It supports 2D and 3D designs and offer a wide range of geometry editing tools. One of the most helpful feature is that SpaceClaim was designed to be easily integrated into the other applications developed by Ansys.
Cons
