It is worth the pricing.

Pros

Adobe Premiere is a Standard Industry Video editing tool.

Easy tobuse, you can learn video editing in few days and become a Video editor.

Cons

Consumes memory space on your PC.

Exports videos in large size of data, might need to compress output with a good video compressing software.

Adobe Premiere Pro Review

Reviewed on 18/02/2025

Great I'm glad I made the choice to stick with it.

Great I'm glad I made the choice to stick with it.

Pros

It's hard to go wrong with any Adobe products. I've been a Premiere Pro user since 1996 for my video production business. It's a good program and it's not hard to learn there's a lot of help and tutorials online if you need any extra help from some of the gurus that I've seen out.

Cons

The only downside for some people I think would be the monthly subscription, if you don't conduct enough business to use premiere pro it might be better if you stick with a cheap or free version of some other video software. But if you are truly interested in being a videographer /editor where it produces an income; there's no better program then Adobe premiere pro and it's worth it if you're making money. I would say get the whole suite because it's cheaper that way and you have access two more applications Photoshop Premiere Pro, After Effects Adobe audition and a few more, but those are the main ones.

I use Premiere as a badge to demonstrate my company is on par, if not exceeding industry standards. Often times, I mention we use Premiere. I never commit to saying we ONLY use Premiere. Most of our work is performed on Final Cut Pro. Our results are always above expectation. When a client asks for working files, I lower the boom on them about FCPX. Often times, they're flummoxed that anything other than Adobe Premiere could create that level of quality output.

Pros

The biggest advantage of Premiere is the acceptance of it as the industry standard. Mastering Premiere is more likely to land you jobs, gigs, etc and establish your credibility as a seasoned editor. Doesn't necessarily mean it's the best editor on the market

Cons

Adobe is notorious for overcomplicating simple steps and actions. Layer upon layer upon layer of diving into specifications of a specific piece of footage/animation/etc becomes tedious and time consuming. I liken it to Adobe = Windows vs let's say Final Cut Pro = Mac. One is more hierarchy-based organization that lacks in usability while the other accomplishes the same tasks quicker and more efficiently BECAUSE of a focus on user experience.

Alternatives Considered

VEGAS Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro

Reasons for Switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

I didn't. I simply use it as a checkbox to avoid confusing conversation when explaining my company's level of competency. When required, we use Premiere on a basic level. Then, we often export the XML into Final Cut Pro and add additional editing from there.

I think Premiere is the best video editing software for anyone working on the Adobe suite. The Adobe dynamic link with After Effects is great for live previews and updates and means it integrates seemlessly. The UI is slick and everything is easy to find.

Pros

Adobe Premiere integrates with the Adobe suite and makes editing easy and a smooth process. I use Premiere for all my video editing, I love the interface and the easily accessible menu and timeline it offers.

Cons

Sometimes when moving or copying and pasting elements on the timeline, it can override the position and knock on your footage or replace it when you don't want it to.

Cons

When i first started using premiere pro, it was very confusing, it took sometime to learn all the features, shortcuts and methods, but by time everything became clear and just when you open your library you just know what to do, where to get it from and how to do it, you start using new things and trying new methods, then you become somewhat of an expert and won’t take time for you to edit videos.

Pros

The freedom it gives you in editing frame by frame, the audio syncing with the video, the most efficient editing timeline, the color grading features, color scheme wheels are very accurate, the content library full of templates, animations and transitions.

Cons

I have a very high-end pc that i edit videos on, and if you’re editing a long video jt surely does take a long time to render. It sometimes take hours to render a 5 minute heavily edited video, understandable but keep that in your mind.

It provides advanced functionalities that enable me to edit videos with ease & flexibility. I highly recommend it.

Pros

I like Premier Pro because of its comprehensive video editing tools. It offers a wide array of tools that allow trimming, cutting, ting, and arranging elements with precision and control. It also provides other advanced editing features like keyframe animation, advanced color-grading, and multi-camera editing, which are all essential for creating quality grading videos. In the beginning, it might appear challenging but becomes very easy over time. Among the few Adobe tools that I've tried out, Premiere Pro appears to be the simplest one.- It also helps to make tweaks to audio from other sources like adding effects (reverbs, panning, and equalizing them properly).

Cons

- Fast rendering fully relies on the GPU acceleration to be effective and this requires the PC to be highly performant.- Encoder comes in a separate state which can be quite stressful to install.

I am using Abobe premiere pro for my youtube content creation. It is so exciting me everyday with ease of its workspace and accuracy. The flow of editing is quite easy. The project files doesnot need much space while saving. And it is one of the best software for video editing across the world and used by many professionals in film making.

Pros

Its user interface and customisable workspace is the best thing about premiere pro. And it has various export options there. Many default plugins were professionally used.

Cons

Software crashes some time on overload, so that the content might be deleted. It is the only concern in this software I worried about.

Overall Adobe Premiere Pro is a powerful software that can handle complex projects. There is a steep learning curve for beginners, so it can be difficult to quickly begin a project if you have no experience with the software.

Pros

Adobe Premiere Pro is fantastic for complex editing tasks. Its advanced timeline functionality allows for multi-layered editing, precise keyframing, and seamless manipulation of audio and video tracks. Features like nested sequences, multi-camera editing, and dynamic linking with After Effects provide control over complex workflows.

Cons

The main pro of Adobe Premiere Pro-it's ability to handle complex editing-is also its con. It can be intimidating for beginners due to its steep learning curve and complexity. The interface is packed with advanced tools and features and, therefore, can feel overwhelming for those new to video editing, often requiring significant time and effort to navigate and understand. Many basic functions are buried under layers of menus, and the vast amount of customization options, while great for professionals, can be confusing for first-time users. Additionally, the lack of hand-holding tutorials within the software itself means newcomers may need to rely heavily on external resources to get started, which can slow down the learning process.

It does the job, but there are a lot of cheaper or free alternatives out there that are also solid competitors. I use Premiere Pro because it is the program I learned to use and that I have a permanent license for. I imagine that some of the mentioned issues have been fixed since CS5, but the option to buy a permanent license is also gone, which is why I continue to use CS5.

It has all the features I need to seamlessly edit and stitch together my personal animation and video projects.

Cons

It's easy to accidentally unlink your imported files if you aren't extremely careful with how you set up your scene.
