It is a simple-to-use solution that includes the essential feature for running email marketing campaigns and A/B testing. The media library is faultless and allows you to manage your data quickly. The email designs are well-designed and simple to modify. You may also submit your HTML-based email template. We can prioritize our follow-up by seeing who has opened the email and how often they have clicked the email we sent. This is amazing!

I don't like the dashboard design, especially when navigating the menus and settings. By default, you will be sent back to the main menu and must use the arrow keys to navigate the various menus until you reach an item you want again. Additional information on what has been clicked and by whom would have been more beneficial. Alternatively, a record of each connection and their email behavior might be helpful.

We have other clients who use the more well-known competitors, but we prefer using Campaigner for the clients who chose this option. It's a more serious and straight-forward email marketing tool. It gets the job done easily and efficiently.

No real cons. We have been using this for a few clients for a long time, through company and name changes on Campaigner's side - and it has only gotten better over time.

Is an easy to use product, with the basic features to run email campaigns and do A/B testing.
The media library works flawless and lets you organize your files with ease.
The email templates are good and can be edited very easily.
You have the option to upload your own email template in HTML.

There are some admin screens where you feel like there's a lack of development in some areas. For example, the login page needs you to connect from the same IP address. If not, you need to call, chat or email support for your new IP to be whitelisted. There are plenty of options they could use like 2FA for keeping the login secure without the need of calling support every time you want to login.

I like that you can edit via wysiwyg or full code. Super easy to use from creation of email campaigns to reporting and contact management. I only use 1/4 of the capabilities and I love it.

Could have a few more reporting options but has the important ones.

Sometimes, what you design in drag-drop editor isn't what gets sent out.

I like that was easy to use, in the sense that was intuitive. Setting emails and workflows was not difficult.

When getting results or reports the numbers were no reliable. I had the feeling that I couldn't trust the numbers. Also there were problems with email duplications that they couldn't solve.

Cost is the biggest pro for this software. It's much cheaper than their competitors and I like that you don't have to pay per contact.

I have a really hard time getting emails to appear properly as coded. The campaigner system seems to manipulate or change things that shouldn't be changed. It also seems to have a good bit of bugs in it.

everything. hard to import contacts and when i spoke to customer service they said i should skip the free trial and pay for the service because the free trial wouldn't let me import as many contacts as i had. once i paid i could not reach customer service and all the friendly customer service calls they used to make to me that i found so accommodating stopped all of sudden. i want to cancel as i already switched BACK to vertical response but i am unable to reach anyone or cancel on my own.

I like the ability to have templates that can be shared across our organization. The new drag and drop editor is also very helpful to create templates and edit emails more quickly and easily - especially for staff who aren't as skilled at html etc. I think it also does a good job of list management and segmentation.

When editing an email, the software doesn't register you as being "active" unless you click next or save, so it tends to log you out while you're in the middle of editing. Sometimes there are also strange formatting things that happen to emails that take a long time to solve. I have also had experiences where the email wouldn't send because of a bad script or link to a dropbox that it flagged as spam. Solving that problem was extremely frustrating.

We use Campaigner exclusively for all support communications with about 300 subscribers to our Internet service at a large marina. We also use it for small business customers that we support with marketing and social media services. Easy to use and we have never had a complete failure.

The system has all of the features that we need, but the only (minor) issue is occasional "lagging" of website response and occasional apparently incomplete copying of an email campaign - we copy a lot for the purpose of sending the same email to new subscribers as they sign up to our Internet service. Sometimes the "subject line" of an email doesn't want to copy and be recognized as present in the copy.

The interface is intuitive and easy to use, unlike others that I've tried. It has the right features for building campaigns and automation without being an overkill. The reporting is also comprehensive and straightforward.

I had some trouble with the deliverability of my emails when I started. I contacted support and it seemed to help improve our open and click rates.

This program was already in use when I joined the company and the learning curve was minimal. It has all the standard templates, contacts, and reports that you would need. Every time I have called customer service, they have been helpful.

Working with the templates can be really finicky. It can be difficult to get it to do what you want at times. It is also not as user friendly as MailChimp, for instance. Their reporting is there but you have to do click more time to get to it and comparing email sends can be annoying the way it's laid out.

Plenty of features such as segmentation, list management, sign up forms, good reporting. Ability to use Campaigner because of Canadian servers complying with privacy legislation in British Columbia

API integration needs improvement, account management (related to billing) requires even more improvement with prompt attention to inquiries and resolution of issues. Customer service could be more timely and provide better issue resolution experience.

Segmenting is easy. CASL Compliant. Very interesting webinar sessions are often offered. Adding Google Analytics tracking is built-in.

The system is often very slow. The interface is not friendly. (compare to other engine that are using drag and drop and multiple layouts) The emails are not responsive. Even when we contact the company for a built ''on-measure'' template, the template is hard to use and not responsive.
The A/B testing often make the campaigns crash. This lead to campaigns that weren't sent properly and almost no response with the customer service on the week-ends (even on week days to be honest). Reports could be easier to consult and more detailed too.

Contact lists are logical. Easy to manage, somewhat.

Lack of ability (back end API) to connect to our desktop CRM, no SMS ability, ability to send single emails to certain clients not there. A lot of our emails go to customers/clients' Spam/junk email folders. The full email campaign editor does not function like Microsoft word. When you hit <<ENTER>> it gives too many spaces or line breaks. It's not easy to manipulate a full blown email.

It's easy to send newsletter to many lists of people and see how many people opened your newsletter.

In the past, I had lots of issues importing list of contacts into Campaigner. I had to split a list into multiple segments to make it work and ran into lots or errors.
This was really a turn down using Campaigner.

Working with pre-existing templates was also a problem. We had some newsletter created that we couldn't change when there was an update to the program.
To create a new template or newsletter is not very user friendly.

We have been using Campaigner for about a decade and it has been a reliable and user-friendly software. They have worked to keep the upgrading the functionality over the years.

The reporting on clicks is very painful and manual. I'd really like to the ability to download a report that shows me who clicked on the campaign and the name of the link they clicked on with all the contact details. At the moment, we spend hours manually doing this.
