A Brite Source of Social Engineering!

I would recommend this, and have it for people who have looked into the same sort of events that I've been looking for. This says a lot, as I keep very busy so staying abreast of local events and happenings is an ever-evolving passion of mine! I cannot yet express my opinion on what it is like as an event coordinator, however speaking with heads of such events (like Rockstar Networking for one) I hear that it's pretty seamless a process to do! People that I talk with seem satisfied with investing time and funds in their business to attract new attendees through Eventbrite.

Pros

This site looks very clean, whether on mobile or the PC and it runs smoothly in my experience. This is to say that I've yet to face any issues of crashes, bugs, or information that was misleading or inaccurate! As someone who has used Eventbrite for both local hobby-related events and job-hunting, this is a good source to help keep both of those walks of life organized in one location.

Cons

As the growing need for more broad access to websites for people with certain needs, the fact that it doesn't have its own "Dark mode'' for viewing is something that I highly wish would change. It's becoming more and more common for sites to address this on the web that touches on socializing more, as people tend to spend high numbers of hours in a day, at any given time, looking at the site. This is, so far, the only critique that I have thus far, as a consumer/attendant for events.

Overall I am very happy and satisfied with the product. It has reduced my dependency of searching the events on web and helped me in keeping a track of what I'm attending at what time I'm planning my overall marketing calendar of the month.

Pros

Structuring of the events; almost all matketing events that I attend, I keep planning and booking from eventbrite. I even have the app since 2 years. The events are also pin pointed geography wise and there is plethora of online webinars also.

Cons

Although my preferences are set for marketing events, I do not get ample push notifications. Slight nudge from the app would help in better planning

I like using Eventbrite for our organisation's events as it means that ticketing and guest list is all held in one place and I can schedule event reminders to automatically send by email near the time of the event. However, it can be complicated to use and expensive.

Pros

Helpful for managing event ticketing, and I like the feature to schedule event reminders. There are a lot of advanced features if you need them.

Cons

It can be complicated to set up an event if you don't need to use any of the advanced features.

It was good overall but since the new changes, it doesnt feel like the right platform to expose our public to. We have moved to a competitor.

Pros

the fact that you can have profiles for your business that are findable and people can follow and be notified about is an invaluable tool that some other platforms dont have. By being the most / or most used , they have most of the market, which is not ideal, but useful for being discovered.

Cons

the fee structure is predatory, even more now. Now even the free events have a maximum number of tickets which deems the platform useless even for free events.

The non profit status is not considered in any meaningful way for a non profit event producer to use.

The profiles dont let you know who is following your own organization.

The platform is really easy to use, and I’ve had no trouble finding and purchasing tickets for a variety of events. From concerts to workshops, the search and booking process is straightforward, and I appreciate the ability to filter by date, location, and type of event. The mobile app is great too

Pros

Purchasing tickets is straightforward. The platform securely stores my payment details, making future purchases faster. I also appreciate the option to choose from different ticket types (general admission, VIP, etc.), and the process is smooth.

Cons

One of the things I dislike the most about Eventbrite is the additional service fees. These fees are added on top of the ticket price, and while they’re not huge, they can be a bit frustrating

I have been using Eventbrite to advertise our online and in person outreach events and it has been working great so far. I like how easy it is to set it up, get analytics, integrate it with other systems like WordPress sites, CRMs etc. The flexibility is also great. I highly recommend it if you are trying to setup a online page for your events.

Pros

I could create a free online webinar events or sometimes in person event and a lot of people sign up for these. I can get potential leads and important information that I can use to tailor our outreach campaigns and this is the best thing I like about Eventbrite. Since there are a lot of active users on Eventbrite, we can easily find significant leads. Another thing I really like about Eventbrite is the easiness of setting up events and post event management things like exporting datasets. I also like how easy it is for people to RSVP and get a digital ticket that we can scan at event.

Cons

I wish they had better customer service. I haven't ran into any major problems but while I tried to contact their support for some inquiry, it was really hard for me to contact them. If they created a easy to access support system - the platform would probably be perfect.

A terrible app for ticketing. I didn't even know where to begin. I had used multiple ticketing website features, some ticketing apps, this app was thrust upon me at my job and became such a huge bottleneck.

The entire thing felt like scamware. They promised so much engagement and all those promises fell flat.

Awful software

Pros

There were some good features. It would allow us to add things like video and pictures in places that the customer would never look. It ran like the apps in the 90s ran, it was nostalgic for how bad it was.

Cons

It was the slowest app. It would often lag horribly. It was missing tons of features that many other apps in it's class have.

Eventbrite is highly flexible and works well for our smaller or free events. On the other hand, Cvent is our go-to for larger events that need custom apps, onsite badge printing, and various conference-specific features. The price Cvent charges is worth the value it delivers for these occasions. For low-cost or free events, Eventbrite is still the preferred option.

Pros

I found it incredibly easy to use, making it simple for both small and large businesses to create professional events.

Cons

A downside is the steep fees, particularly for high-ticket events.

The integration with social media and email marketing tools helps in effectively reaching a broader audience. Additionally, the analytics and reporting features provide valuable insights into attendee behavior, which is crucial for improving future events. The ability to customize event pages and manage registrations in real-time are other standout features that make Eventbrite a top choice for event planning.

Pros

What I liked most about Eventbrite is its user-friendly interface and robust features that make event management and ticketing incredibly efficient. The platform is intuitive, allowing organizers to easily create, promote, and manage events of all sizes

Cons

One aspect I liked least about Eventbrite is the reliance on email for event reminders. There were a few instances where I missed events because I didn’t see the email in time. It would be more effective if Eventbrite offered the option to send reminder notifications via WhatsApp or SMS, ensuring that users receive timely updates through their preferred communication channels.

Overall, Eventbrite is a great solution. It's easy for first-time event coordinators, seamless for ticket purchasers, and intuitive for last-minute volunteers tasked with working the door. Door check-ins are quick with either scan or manual check-in by name, and purchases are quick and customizable (i.e. admin can offer reduced prices after a certain time, etc.).

Pros

Eventbrite is a great entry-level ticketing software. It's easy to set up, easy to use, customizable for administrators, and allows you to create specific roles. Having a dedicated role for door staff with only the functions they need can significantly speed up the guest entry process.
