The project distribution (claiming) system is heavily exploited by users running bots that instantly snatch up all available tasks within a single second of publication. Honest professionals have absolutely zero chance to claim jobs manually. To make matters worse, Smartling’s technical support is entirely unhelpful. Even when provided with undeniable proof, timestamps, and logs of this obvious Terms of Service violation, they simply close the tickets without implementing any basic anti-bot measures or blocking the offending accounts. > > Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Working on complex medical and specialized localization projects requires a secure, fair, and reliable platform. Smartling completely fails in this regard by ignoring blatant security flaws and allowing automated bots to hijack the entire workflow. By refusing to enforce their own compliance and security policies, they are compromising the integrity of the platform for both freelancers and enterprise clients.
