Google Sheets

Cloud-based spreadsheet and collaboration platform

About Google Sheets

Google Sheets is a cloud-based spreadsheet platform designed to help businesses of all sizes collaborate with clients and partners to create and edit data on spreadsheets. The artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled system allows employees to add collaborators to projects, view real-time changes in the sheet, and chat with team members from within documents.

The application lets administrators set expiration dates on projects and grant permissions to download, copy, or print content among specific collaborators. Stakeholders can utilize the explore functionality to view trends and gain data insights through customizable visuals in real-time. Google Sheets offers data loss prevention (DLP) module, which enables organizations to detect potential data breaches and prevent data leak by blocking sensitive data visibility among unauthorized members.

Google Sheets provides an API and Zapier integration, which lets businesses connect with several third-party platforms such as BigQuery, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Apps Script, Trello, Slack, Mailchimp, and more. Other features include information rights management (IRM), customizable templates, analytics, collaboration, survey creation, revision history, conditional formatting, and more.

Cons

Sometimes some formulas are difficult to apply, and it would be nice to have a drop-drown with the most common ones.

Its a great tool/ software i recommend every student should try out.worked for me.

Pros

Oh boy where do i start!? uhmm (1) the real-time collaboration which enables seamless collaboration.several users can edit a sheet simultaneously, which made it easy for me when working on projects & assignments with my fellow students. It cuts the need for back-and-forth exchanges of file versions whenever one made an update.
(2)The fact that you can access google sheets on almost any device with an internet connection. That level of accessibility was a game-changer for me and my colleagues who needed to contribute their data to our assignments from different locations(mostly upcountry) or devices.

Integration with Google Workspace: If you're using other Google Workspace tools like Google Docs and Google Slides, the seamless integration with Google Sheets is fantastic. It's easy to insert data or charts from Sheets into other Google documents, enhancing the overall workflow.
Lastly, have i mentioned its free!? all that usability for a good price of FREE.its awesome

Cons

Nothing at all, everything worked jst fine,Im only looking forward to what more can they add to it.

I love using Google Wheets and I regularly use every day for several reasons.

Pros

It's very easy to use and there's a lot of different ways I can use it including for CRM to store data to manipulate and visualise. I prefer to connect this as a data source to Looker Studio.

Cons

The limitations. The need to pay for addons to import data especially from a different Google product.
