The Magazine Manager is a web-based CRM solution designed to help digital and print publishers streamline operations in an ever-changing media environment.
Magazine Manager’s rapidly expanding product line includes a world-class customer relationship management platform, a sales pipeline opportunities module, an order management system that handles print orders, events, and digital products, a complete editorial module, the most powerful billing module in the magazine media industry, a detailed accounts receivable system, and a complete reporting suite.
The Magazine Manager's customer relationship management module enables businesses to build, categorize and search the customer database based on names, phone numbers, emails, companies, and addresses, among other categories.
Through the creation of ad orders or rate cards and ad inventory management, The Magazine Manager helps publishers streamline the entire print and digital advertising lifecycles. Any type of media buy can be accurately managed, including email newsletters, website ads, events, and bulk media buys.
Created with a built-in electronic signature system, Magazine Manager helps to streamline and automate the proposal approval process by allowing sales staff to send electronic, legally binding documents to be signed and approved. Once signed and approved, the proposal will be automatically approved within the CRM.
Thanks to Magazine Manager’s collaborative production and project management module, publishers can rest assured that nothing falls through the cracks. Designed with customizable project stages and Project Timeline, any type of media buy can be accurately tracked and managed. Team members receive live production updates of ad units, submit real-time feedback, and track time estimates of ongoing projects. And, with Magazine Manager’s automation engine, the module even sends out automated notifications about upcoming material deadlines.
The digital software also enables publishing professionals to paginate publications and editions, conduct flat planning, and determine article and advertisement layouts.
The Magazine Manager's powerful reporting suite gives publishers insight into performance and profitability. Any information logged within the system can be effortlessly tracked and monitored. Our powerful Analytics Dashboard allows businesses to build entirely customized reports with over 300 data tiles to choose from and extensive customization options.
Magazine Manager has several options to get publishers paid faster. From Quick Pay and auto-pay to Payment Card Industry-compliance, The Magazine Manager can reconcile multiple bills effortlessly and even in batches. The Magazine Manager also integrates with QuickBooks accounting, giving publishing businesses the power to perform transactions, collect payments, store invoices, and prepare custom reports based on aging A/R summaries, sales agent performance, and conversion rate analysis.
With Magazine Manager's Gmail integration, users are able to send targeted emails to groups of ten through a Gmail account. We’ve also created our own Google Chrome extension that connects a user’s Gmail account to our CRM allowing them to see Magazine Manager notes within their Gmail, add notes to Contact Records through their Gmail, and even copy emails and email attachments directly into the CRM.
Magazine Manager includes Media Mate our AI powered media assistant which does everything from content creation, to website segmentation, media analytics, and automated prospecting research.
The CRM seamlessly integrates with Marketing Manager, our marketing automation and audience development platform, and ChargeBrite, our recurring revenue platform. We have had a great experience with The Magazine Manager..and its always improving and offering us newer and better options to conduct our business.
Pros
Wonderful system that seamlessly pulls all aspects of a growing business in one complete package. From sales to creative to customer to billing-this system is pulls it all together. I especially appreciate the emphasis on inter-department communications options. I am amazed the ease of adding new product lines to the system. The phone app has been wonderful for the account reps as well.
Cons
I believe the integration of this system was fairly smooth. There was a bit of a learning curve on both sides but the exceptional customer service portion of Magman is second to none.

I find it much more difficult that my previous database to work with when it comes to cancelling...
I find it much more difficult that my previous database to work with when it comes to cancelling converted proposals.
Pros
The positive using this software is it is easy to see Accounts payable send invoices if needed.
Cons
It is not user friendly.
I find this software very difficult and cumbersome to manipulate.

My overall experience with Magazine Manger has been great! I thought it would be a difficult transition coming from the Salesforce platform, but it was easy and the customer support is extremely helpful. Also, Magazine Manager is constantly updating and improving.
Pros
Easy to use and navigate basic functions for new users. Offers different reporting that is valuable to measure growth. Electronic Signature is another great feature for easy signing and the agreement is pulled right into client account.
Cons
It's not perfect.
There are a lot reporting options and sometimes it can be too many options. I'd like a feature that automatically pulls my numbers without having to choose so many filters.

The ease of use. It is very user friendly.
Cons
There's so many different way to pull reports. When you are new to the system it gets very over whelming.
