Cisco AnyConnect
About Cisco AnyConnect
Cisco AnyConnect is a virtual private network (VPN) software designed to provide remote workforce with secure enterprise-wide network access across multiple locations and devices. Administrators can utilize the platform to identify network usage details and automatically conduct endpoint posture assessments to ensure data security.
Cisco AnyConnect allows administrators to protect VPN access, verify user devices through multi-factor authentication, and block threats across endpoints using the Cisco AMP platform. Information technology (IT) teams can gain visibility into the network's blind spots and vulnerabilities, generate actionable reports, and respond to malware attacks, data exfiltration, and risky user behaviors. Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client lets enterprises provide encrypted network access to employees on smartphones or tablets and localize the system's language according to organizational requirements.
Cisco AnyConnect helps organizations enhance network security through secure sockets layer (SSL), IP security Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IPsec IKEv2) and other built-in modules. The platform can be configured to ensure stable network connection during ongoing protocols for standby, hibernation, and IP address changes.

Overall it’s been a good ride. We’ve used it for years and if it wasn’t for Cisco’s ridiculous decision with their new Firepower Firewalls we’d stay the course. Oh well bring on Fortinet.
Pros
Pretty universal on most remote hardware. We have it deployed on iPads, chrome books, laptops, and even phones.
Cons
Can be buggy with other networking products and can mess up a computers winsock settings.

The scale, ease of use, ease of introduction, ease of use for users, etc., will be discussed once with the Cisco manager and the information system manager, and the above problems and issues will be resolved. We recommend that you consider the advantages.
Pros
You can easily create a VPN environment with a single click on your PC or smartphone. You can also easily select a server to connect to. In addition, by preparing multiple servers, even in an environment where the connection to a specific server is poor, the ability to connect to a VPN by selecting another server is also useful when using software that requires a VPN connection.
Cons
Although a VPN connection can be made, there are cases in which the communication speed drops and video conferences are interfered with.

My overall experience with Cisco AnyConnect is that I used it a few times at work but today we have other resources like Teams for internal calls and meetings. When I need to make a call to the supplier, I use Whatsapp. Most of the time I use Any Connect to make international calls.
Pros
I like the convenience of carring my phone when I'm working from home and I can make the same calls as my desk phone.
Cons
I don't like the fact that I only use the internet to make calls on Cisco AnyConnect and sometimes have poor call quality.
