Proctorio is a comprehensive Learning Integrity Platform that offers identity verification and remote proctoring services to over 4,000 higher education, K-12, corporate, and federal institutions around the world, proctoring over 30 million exams in 2021. Proctorio’s browser extension integrates with most commonly used Learning Management Systems (LMS) and third-party assessment platforms. Proctorio’s solution offers a suite of Lock Down, Recording, and Verification options, which gives exam administrators the ability to customize exams for their needed level of security. Proctorio does a great job at preventing cheating in as many ways possible and protects students for cheaters which ensures that everyone is taking their exams under the same conditions, creating equity for students.
Pros
Proctorio is great at ensuring that all students are taking their exams under the same conditions and that none have any unfair advantages.
Cons
Students get frustrated with learning how to use. Specially when they have to scan their ID cars but they eventually figure it out.

Functional and Innovative

Pros
Proctorio is very functional and works like a charm in most things. Proctorio keeps tests secure and monitored the students clearly.
Cons
Proctorio can sometimes “bug out” with chrome and have issues starting and functioning during tests. The issues are few, but can cause devastation for some students.

Overall this is a fantastic program to phase out in-person test proctoring and get the same or better results in test scores and violations.
Pros
The aspect I like most is the ability to test remotely and without another person present. I have test anxiety and using this program I know the rules and what to expect without variable from human error.
Cons
I think the worst part about using this software is that when trying to take an exam, you must be on a specific type of internet connection. I always have problems when using a hotspot like used with cell phones. I found this is because the IP address is not a static IP and is tied to a location.

We found Proctorio at the beginning of COVID to allow us to take our entire campus remote during the pandemic. We continue to utilize Proctorio as an affordable option that our faculty and students have been satisfied with.
Pros
The implementation team was amazing and the support team follows up each quarter with usage data and reports statistics on all support provided to students and faculty.
Cons
Proctorio meets our needs and have not really discovered any cons for us meeting our requirements.
