FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall consolidates security capabilities to protect businesses from internal and external security threats. This solution is specifically designed to meet the needs of hyperscale and hybrid data centers. The NGFW is powered by purpose-built SPUs, including the latest NP7, and provides SSL inspection, web filtering, and IPS to provide full network security and visibility.
NGFW is part of the Fortinet Security Fabric and can seamlessly integrate with FortiGuard and FortiSandbox services. To prevent a degraded user experience and downtime, this firewall solution can inspect incoming traffic at hyperscale using high-level speed and performance. It can block malware and other types of attacks while also evolving with the threat landscape.

Fortigate perform very well and provide very good protection compared with other devices.

Pros
Fortiguard updates are excellent and the device is easy to use.
Cons
Some models that are not EOL are not getting OS updates with no explanation. If the product is not EOL it should get updates no excuses!
In 2023 some of thelocal services have had a number of nasty vulnerabilities, coding should be better and protection of local services should be enhanced.

Pros
FortiGate NGFW is great product and I like most about deep packet inspection and AI based threat detection. Also easy it is to manage everything from a single dashboard. The integration with other Fortinet products helps with smooth workflow in our organisation.
Cons
Configuring of advanced features sometimes is a bit complex. Nothing apart at this moment.

FortiGate is THE enterprise solution. It has all the features that you would possibly want and more.
Cons
The price and the deployment. It is not a simple solution by any stretch. The price is worth it for the features, but if you are not at the level then rather look elsewhere.

Pros
All FortiGates comes with free dyndns that is useful for companies that do not have static public IP address. The VPN accounts also comes with free 2FA option.
Cons
Although FortiGate has GUI, many of the features still rely on CLi to unlock or configure. 3 different path of firmware can be confusing.
