It is nice that we don't have to do any additional steps to document conversations like we had with our previous system (vet2pet). It writes seamlessly into patient charts. It has been easy to create templates for staff to use so that we are communicating clearly and professionally to clients. We use chckvet for: - two-way client conversations via text that include videos and photos - emails for medical reminders and appointment reminders - text for medical reminders and appointment reminders - pre-appointment paperwork - pre-surgical forms - client disclosures and information updates - online booking management The majority of things have been highly customizable and easy to change to our clinic's preferences. There have been a couple times that I have needed additional support with changing settings but with a quick email or hopping on a call with a representative we are able to reconfigure things within 30 minutes. Initial setup was easy and only took a week or two of use for the team to get in the rhythm of using it. I didn't have to start from scratch putting in our disclosures and such, they did that work for me ahead of us going live with them. Customer service has always been exceptionally helpful. > > **Cons**: Initially it seemed like I had to do a lot of toggling between two of the settings pages to get our settings just right. Now that things are set up, it is much easier to make copies of things and tweak them if we need to. Hindsight - I am certain I could have emailed the adjustments and wording for various templates that I was looking to do and had their team do them for me. > > It has been great. We have a large, 2 site privately owned general practice with 7 vets + physical rehab a cat wing. Our types and lengths of appointments, provider customizations, and clinic preferences are vast and ChckVet handles them no problem. Onboarding was truly easy and enjoyable for such a robust service, and the ChckVet team is responsive and solutions-oriented. The software integrates within our website and is speedy and intuitive. The ezyVet integration is truly a game-changer. Monthly cost is lower than their competitors for a better product. I am unsure if that is because my recommendations lead to change or if change was already on the way. It feels good to be heard regardless. I recommend starting early and giving yourself a longer runway than you think you need to ensure you have it set up the way you want before launch. The good news is the support team is very helpful so building it while your flying it is not impossible. ChckVet has the ability to over communicate so it did take us a while to dial in the tempo of communication to fit our style. I prefer that to the software we have used in the past that was not capable of that level of communication, easier to dial back than pick up the slack. > > A little bumpy during set up.
