> **Pros**: What I liked about TextFree was before I had a job so I could pay for phone service, TextFree gave me the perks of being able to text and call as long as I was connected to wifi. I know that they now offer actual service plans with sim cards as well.

> **Cons**: What I liked the least about TextNow was,back when I used it, the fact that to use it I had to be connected to wifi.

> **Pros**: Makes calls just fine but sometimes I do not hear it ring on incoming calls.

> **Cons**: My TextFree App keeps, during calls forcing the speakerphone on and I have been trying to reach out to them for a year now and they never respond. I tried all the trouble shooting possible on my end and nothing works. I can lay my phone on the table with out even touching it and the speaker phone turns on and off causing my ears to burst with pain. Contacting Samsung next but I really think it has to do with the developer of the app and maybe google....

> **Pros**: The availability and freedom to have a usable phone number. Great in a pinch, for those moments when you need to have contact, and regular cellular service isnt available, or absent.

> **Cons**: Like most free to use programs, there are a lot of advertisements. Also you eventually have to pay for credits that get used even if a call or text isn't necessarily completed.

> Usual cell phone was OOS temporarily and i needed to keep in communication with family and work while figuring things out. Text free was exactly what i needed.
