Court Recorder can be used in courts to directly replace steno reporters when a traditional reporter is not available, with or without a digital court reporter present. When a digital court reporter is needed, the software provides all of the capabilities for recording the court session, including multichannel audio, note-taking, and readbacks.
For courts and administrative hearings that do not require the services of a court reporter, Court Recorder makes it simple for the court clerk or the judge to capture official recordings with a few clicks. Reliably capture each case, or an entire day's calendar of cases, directly to your computer system, leveraging the investment in the existing digital infrastructure.
Freelance reporters can record any proceeding while providing stress-free readbacks when requested. The included SoniClear Transcriber software facilitates manual transcribing, and also includes integrated SoniClear Cloud AI transcription for "Rough ASCII" transcripts and turnaround of certified transcripts.

I have been using it for more than 15 years. I think I was one of the first customers that used it in the civil market. They have always responded to my suggestions and have worked on adapting it outside of the court system. It has been reliable over all the years. Support has always fixed any issue, usually something that was changed in the settings due to Windows updates.
Pros
Soniclear has a relatively easy learning curve. The notes can be exported to word processing programs. The program interfaces with SpeedType where you can build a dictionary to speed up editing. They are working on a translation program to convert the audio file to text. The support people are very knowledgeable. Open to feedback and adding features that are requested.
Cons
It was originally developed for the court systems and the company has been slow to incorporate features that would be helpful to the civil market. In the past couple of years they have been working on that. The translation program is somewhat unreliable. If you transcribe your work, it's faster to type it out than to edit from a translated file. It can sometimes take some time (hours not days) to get a call back from support.

Soniclear has been a great product and we will continue using it for the foreseeable future. We also use the GovRecorder product and love it as well.
Pros
Soniclear is incredibly easy to install and use. We have provided little to no training for our end users and they seem to pick up on it very quickly.
The product is also priced very well and the support is fantastic.
Cons
It would be nice to have global settings that are effective for every user that logs onto the computer.

Pros
SoniClear Court Recorder is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Also, the SoniClear team has always been very helpful any time issues have come up with my system, whether it be a computer crash, hardware issues, or updates.
Cons
The only thing that could remotely be a downside is that since the company is based out of California they are two hours behind me in Louisiana. Luckily, any emergency calls I've had to make to them were answered immediately or within the hour.

Pros
The Software application is very easy to use, this allows users to not require further knowledge.
Cons
It is necessary to have greater capacity in the API to allow integrations with other applications, for example, starting a session, calendars, room reservations, etc.

Pros
Easy to use, user friendly. It's a program that's easy to get started with and Soniclear always provides the user with updates.
Cons
I find the yearly support fee is a little pricey, especially for long-term users of the program.
