About Confluence
Confluence is a shared workspace to create and manage all your work. Unlike document and file-sharing tools, Confluence is open and collaborative, helping your team and your company do their best work together. From technical teams and project management, to marketing, HR, and finance - the more people in an organization that use it, the more value teams get from it.
Confluence makes it easy to organize and find the information you need. Group related pages together in a dedicated space for your work, your team, or cross-functional projects. Depending on permissions, a space in Confluence can be made accessible to just you or the entire company. Page trees, which create a hierarchical list of pages within a space, highlight topics on parent pages and help keep work tidy.
Need to find something? Do a quick search to find any page ever created. You can even locate a comment someone posted to a page. Even after someone has left your company, you can still search for work they did, so knowledge is never lost.
Just about every type of project imaginable has started as a simple page in Confluence, from planning an office party to NASA's mission to Mars. Whether you need to capture meeting notes, document product requirements, or kick-off a design review, Confluence is a flexible platform for all your team's work.
Adapt Confluence to your specific work style to create a familiar place for your team to connect. Confluence's open workspace helps teams collaboratively create, review, revise, and finalize plans so work keeps moving forward.
No surprise that Confluence works seamlessly with Atlassian tools. Its pages provide a great backdrop for Jira Software tickets or Trello cards and boards. Inserting Jira tickets on your Confluence pages is as simple as copy/past, or create new tickets directly from your page by right-clicking on highlighted text. If you work in Trello, you can make updates directly to your cards right from Confluence pages.
In addition to seamless Atlassian integrations, there are hundreds of apps available for Confluence in the Atlassian Marketplace. Whether you want to add spreadsheets to your page, insert diagrams, showcase design prototypes or integrate with other popular apps like Google Drive or Salesforce, Marketplace apps make it easy to add more power to your pages to do your best work.

I use it to manage the documents and knowledge of each of my projects, so I have everything in one place to help my team to decentralize knowledge and information.
Pros
The best about Confluence is that it has all the tools that I need to manage the knowledge of my projects and teams, so it is valuable and usable.
Cons
I think that maybe the thing that Confluence can improve is management of visual documents like infographics, but it's no so important.

An upgrade of Google Docs, the document management capability is second-to-none

Brilliant and use it for project management with multiple stakeholders to manage!
Pros
Not only it allows for effective collaboration that enables users to create, share and edit like Google Docs, but that added layer of ease to navigate between different documents (imagine words with excel-like tabs) is brilliant. It acts like a centralized repository for documents, information and knowledge. Users can organize content into spaces, pages and folders, making it easy to find and reference important information. Also, it has good version controls that enables users to track changes easily.
Cons
It may look complex and difficult to learn initially, as there is a slight learning curve prior to being able to use it swiftly. Separately, sometimes I do encounter lag in loading large quantities of data or complex page structures.

Structured content creation has transformed the way our team gathers and disseminates information. Our workflow has been unified due to the smooth integration with our existing products, which has increased efficiency and reduced the need for continual context switching. The adaptability of Confluence is extremely empowering.
Pros
Confluence is a dynamic collaboration tool that enables teams to easily create, share, and interact. Its capabilities for structured content development and integration improve productivity and knowledge sharing. While improving its learning curve and multimedia features would enhance the experience, Confluence's overall benefits make it a valuable asset for companies seeking to improve collaboration. For starters, its dynamic and structured approach to content production enables teams to develop, organize, and share material in real-time. This encourages knowledge sharing and speeds up project progress. Confluence's integration features help to streamline workflows by connecting with a wide range of applications, resulting in a more cohesive and efficient work environment.
Cons
The platform's sophistication may present a minor learning curve for novices, particularly those unfamiliar with collaborative software. Furthermore, while Confluence excels at text-based material, its multimedia embedding and formatting choices may be improved to provide a more aesthetically engaging experience.

NotionReasons for Choosing Confluence
The requirement for a complete collaboration platform motivated our decision to use Confluence. We previously relied on disparate documentation tools, which hampered effective communication and information retrieval. Confluence's organized content foundation made this process more accessible, and its interaction with the products we already use made the transfer smooth and productive.Switched From
